REANIMATION is a band from Ukraine founded in the beginning of 2000’s. In December 2004 the guys won the national Ukrainian festival for the young bands Premiera. In 2006 the band released its first full-length studio album “Rassvet” in heavy metal style with the elements of pagan. But real REANIMATION creative conception was discovered to the full measure with the second release – “Kharakternik”. Choosing power metal as the basis genre, the musicians added a lot of folk elements using various authentic instruments as well as some classical ones, choir and some additional vocal features like female vocals and screaming. The Russian lyrics are created using Slavonic images and motives (mainly, Cossack traditions) and this fact is really unusual for the bands based on power metal. The famous Russian artist Leo Khao (Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Rage among others) created the cover artwork. The second CD showed that the band and especially its vocalist really matured and grew up from musical and personal points of views and the whole sound became more interesting and sophisticated. |
